Are you fed up with not being able to find the style of dress that you want in the colour you want with the sleeves that you want?
I have a degree in Fashion & Textiles awarded way back in 1984 by London University. I left Uni in the summer of '84 when there was yet another recession on and after having 31 interviews within the "rag trade" I gave up on it and went into computing instead.
I have always used my sewing skills to make running repairs and alterations for people and have made the occasional wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses in the past but have always enjoyed making my own clothes.
Having been made redundant in this recession I have fallen back on my old skills and have been making various dresses, kiddies things and curtains for people and was told I needed to get my things advertised and out there for folks to see (& hopefully buy!) hence this blog and my Etsy account.
Please contact me if there is something that you really want to wear but can not find or if you just need something altering to fit or something "Gok'd" for the party season - I can easily hit the haberdashery and get some fabulous trimmings to make that little black dress something special and unique as no one else will have the same trimmings even though they may have the same dress!!!!
